Parents: Rook and Queen
Bishop was born on 9/13/95, along with 7 siblings, to her mother,
Queen, and father, Rook. Six
of the babies were black and white, like their mother, and two of the babies were
brown and white, like their father. One black and white baby died early on. Because
Bishop looked a lot like her father, Rook, who had the sweetest, gentlest personality,
we picked her out of the litter to keep.
Another reason we wanted to keep Bishop is that she seemed to
be closest to her mother. She snuggled up with mom, long after the others ran
off to explore. After we separated the babies from mom, we left Pikachu with Queen
an extra couple of days to snuggle together. You can see them snuggling in the
third photo above.
Bishop inherited her father's wonderful personality and brought
us much joy. She lived to be one year and nine months old.
